For a while now, I’ve been shopping around on craigslist and consignment stores. We tried out http://www.tadpolesatlanta.com/ and I have been loving it. We’ve got some great deals.
So I decided that perhaps I should more consignment stores to increase my odds of finding more stuff for Beta we might want to buy. Timing was perfect, we came across a group that was doing a one day Consignment Sale for its members. So Sat. morning I gathered up Brian and Mom to head to the sale. They open at 9am. The night before Brian said we should head out at 8am. He felt we should be early. Well….it took longer to gather the two of them. We made it to the sale by 9:05. Mom said that there is going to be no one there.
Boy was she wrong. When we arrived, there were folks leaving with baskets full of stuff. We got some good stuff. At the end of it all, mom said we have to be better prepared for their next bi-annual sale! She has given Brian the task to figure out how to rig wheels onto a laundry basket with a handle to pull it.
LOL. I’ve had some folks question our decision to buy used stuff for Beta. But its from the same folks that advise us that we are going to spend lots of money because babies out grow clothes, etc. so fast. Well, if that is the case then why spend $10 when I can spend $1-$2 an item?
