So we’ve bit the bullet. We put it out there on Social Media that we have a little parasite.
I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this. For the same reason you don’t want to announce it to the world too early, I was still hesitant to let too many people know. A million things can go wrong. If only we can see an ultrasound weekly….LOL
But reality is that I’m happy we have done it. I felt like I was living a lie. I’d see people and of course the first thing they say is, “How are you?” What I want to say is:
- “Great! I’m pregnant!”
- “Miserable, I’m pregnant!”
- “Tired and time cause I’m pregnant.”
- “Nervous because cause I’m gonna be a mom in a few months and its scares me to death!”
But what I do say is:
- “I’m doing okay. How are you?”
Not that I’m going to now only talk about the parasite…but I feel like I can at least be genuine in how I respond, even if most of the time it will still be “I’m doing okay.” 🙂
The side effect of telling everyone is of course we enter the next phase of all this. Everyone has advice for us. My boss gave me two hours worth after I told him. I think Brian may have only gotten 30 minutes worth so far. Only a few from friends but so far, but I’m sure that will increase especially now that more people know. So here we go!
